At our Wednesday, August 18th Design Open Mic session, we welcomed Design Fellow Karl Johnson back to the office. Having just returned from a trip to Haiti, Karl gave us the latest on the happenings there, including the development by the Haiti Team -- in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity International -- of the Santo Community Plan, one of the first permanent residential developments for Haiti since the earthquake.

Additionally, Karl spoke about the Haiti Team's efforts to strengthen the Haitian markets. Download the Haiti Team's reports on both projects, below, and check out highlights from Karl's presentation in the video directly following.

Following Karl's presentation on Haiti, the Development Team gave us the low down on this year's second annual Design Like You Give a Damn: LIVE! event, which will be taking place on Oct. 21st and 22nd at the Steelcase showroom and the Center for Architecture in New York City. Check out video highlights from last year's event and join us for this year's exciting program!
