Phase 2 of Safe Trestles – an ideas competition that explores ways to create safe, low-impact access to Trestles – is complete. 5 teams were selected from Phase 1 to develop their designs over the summer while working with project stakeholders, local agencies, and the community towards low-impact solutions that serve all users from surfers to beach-goers, restore wetlands damaged by impromptu paths, preserve and augment vistas, and offer education about the history of the site and the coastal environment.

Check out the solutions. Join the discussion. And vote for the People’s Choice Award here.

A special thanks to Davis Langdon for donating their expertise by providing cost estimates for each solution.
