Break out the hula hoops...we are happy to announce the opening of the thirteenth completed Football for Hope center, the Kalebuka Football for Hope centre, in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo.

The ceremony was held the last week of August with Georges Malaika Foundation (GMF) team and government representatives in attendance. The entire community gathered for the building's dedication – see below how people vied for better views! – while children from the community played soccer and the girls from Georges Malaika Foundation's school gave performances on the newly completed pitch.

The dedicated team worked double shifts to prepare for the opening and their hard work was apparent to all spectators. Congrats to Patrick Muzembe our local architect from H2O, Norbert Tshisola the contractor with Encot, and of course everybody working onsite! Also a big thank you to our former Design Fellow Oliver Kienzi and our partner GMF to make this possible.
