As part of the Santo Community Development Plan, Architecture for Humanity's team at the Rebuilding Center in Port-au-Prince are designing a public market to ensure economic opportunities and job creation are fostered to compliment the housing and infrastructural improvements.

A recent charrette provided unique insight into the role of the Santo market in its regional context and through a series of storyboards and icons developed by Architecture for Humanity, explored the variety of products, vendors, utilities, activities and organizational structures appropriate for the market. The outcomes of the charrette are available in a report available here.
