The rumors are true. The Football for Hope program is working at full speed. One month after the official start of construction, the game is really on. Foundations are in and walls are going up. Door frames are just in at the South East center in Botswana. Congrats to all the teams.

Three more projects have just gone out to tender and construction is estimated December 1st. Stay tuned for more updates!

The roof is almost completed, interior spaces are taking shape, and the contractor is working hard on the sub base for the football pitch..

Botswana

for South East District Youth Empowerment Association (SEDYEA)
Foundations done, walls are going up! The contractor is doing a beautiful job on the low seating walls using uncut natural stone found on the site.

Cameroon

for United Action for Children (UAC)
Site has been cleared, careful to work around existing trees, foundations dug (a bit tricky with such a high water table) and blocks produced. Construction of foundations are underway.

Tanzania

for Iringa Development of Youth, Disabled and Children Care (IDYDC)
Foundations are complete, casting work is finished. Health and safety issues have been addressed -- everybody is wearing helmets.

Mozambique

for Grupo Desportivo De Manica (GDM)
After the traditional ground breaking ceremony, the site was cleared and foundations prepared. Another workshop has been held with the workers on building the foundations.

Mokopane

for the South African Red Cross Society (SARCS)
The site is still being cleared, quite complicated with theses big rocks. The water channel is done and beautiful.
