The Maeami-hama project broke ground (officially) on the morning of November 4th. Members of the Maeami community, KMDW and Architecture for Humanity attended this event.

Immediately following the ceremony, everyone began clearing the surrounding site to make space for the building material coming in. Trees that had died from the salt water behind were also cut down to prevent them from falling over the finished building.

Hundreds of plywood boards to arrive soon!
