What a terrific year for all our chapters! Our chapter network is growing rapidly around the world.  This year we welcomed the Calgary, Greenville, Guadalajara, Kampala, Karachi, Louisville, Mexico City, Milwaukee, Monterrey, New Orleans, Nashville, Raleigh, Rotterdam, Santiago and Shanghai chapters to our chapter family, making us nearly 70 chapters-strong.  A special mention goes to our Karachi and Santiago chapters for responding so effectively in the aftermath of devastating flooding and earthquakes.

Our chapters have dedicated the year to numerous endeavors and all came together to show support for our Haiti Rebuilding efforts. Many chapters held various fund raising events and screened the documentary One Peace at a Time (thank you Turk Pipkin) to help us rebuild schools in the Port-au-Prince areas. Chapters continue to engage local communities, hold workshops at universities, participate in exhibitions and collaborate with other organizations and NGOs.

We saw the launch of our Chapter Network, a successful web site that enables all our chapter members in the design community to connect and share solutions and ideas. The Chapter Network provides information about all chapters' projects as well as topic discussions and events. We're now proud to say that we count over 3000 members on the Chapter Network since its January start. We'll continue to improve this web site in the coming months, adding new features and guidelines.

In October, we held our first chapter forum in New York City.  The successful event was part of the Design Like You Give A Damn: LIVE! extravaganza. Over 20 chapters were represented at this milestone event. We were able to discuss chapter operations, finances and projects. Many chapter members took delight in meeting one another for the first time. The event energized our chapter members and we're looking forward to another gathering next year!

We wish all chapter members a peaceful and joyous holiday season!
