The United Nations Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP) was introduced by seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan in 2011 to promote sport as an innovative and efficient tool, and to strive to maximize the contribution of sport and physical activity to help create a safer, more secure, more sustainable, and more equitable future.
