Our Impact
Design is the ultimate renewable resource. We know architecture has a larger presence than the footprint of a single structure. Design and construction enables communities to utilize resources and build together. The impact of Architecture for Humanity can be measured in local job creation, increased access to education and health, an accelerated return to normalcy after a disaster, and the recognition of dignity in each person we've supported through our work.

Metrics above represent total impact, 1999-2011, for every project's projected lifespan. Every Architecture for Humanity project tracks its impact on the Open Architecture Network.

"The design fellow was involved from the very early paperwork stages to the construction oversight, he was always checking the worksite to see if everything was going well.... "Paulo and Alina bring fantastic skills to our town and project. They do not just bring technical know-how but their humanity and personalities mean a lot to the youths in Manica.
