The second edition of the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) will take place at the Sheraton Resort and Convention Hotel in Doha, Qatar, on 7-9 December 2010.
As in 2009, the Summit will bring together over 1,000 participants from many different walks of life and every corner of the world: eminent decision makers, educationalists, thought leaders, politicians and a wide range of public and private sector multistakeholders. Together they will continue fostering innovative collaborations and action-oriented initiatives, inspiring and spearheading creative change in the world of education.
Over two and a half days, the Summit programme will focus on improving existing educational structures and exploring innovative trends. Plenary sessions and breakout sessions will be organised around these subjects, with an additional Plenary specifically addressing the crucial issue of how 21st-century education should be funded. In addition, there will be new formats for sessions (“Spotlight” sessions, Workshops, Demos, etc.), a Gala dinner for the WISE Awards Ceremony, and ample opportunities for informal networking.
Cameron Sinclair from Architecture for Humanity will be attending.
