As a Community Builder you will have the opportunity to participate in yearly site visits of completed projects and projects in progress.
Each trip you will travel with Architecture for Humanity design team members and fellow Community Builders to a different part of the world to see our work first hand. You'll gain a broader understanding of the challenges faced by the communities with which we work and exchange ideas directly with community leaders making a difference.
2011 Site Visit Registration
We are providing three options for a site visit this year. As a Community Builder, you are invited to join us on any of the trips.
Deadline for Early Registration: March 23, 2011
To view the itinerary for each site visit, please visit the following trip pages.
Site visit 1: June 8-15, 2011 — Port-au-Prince, Haiti
Site visit 2: July 12-20, 2011 — Tissahamara, Sri Lanka
Site visit: 3: August 10-17, 2011 — Nairobi, Kenya
(Dates include travel time and days on site)
Each person will be responsible for purchasing his/her own flights but we will coordinate accomodation, transportation and excursions on the ground. Per person costs are estimated on the trip pages.
You’re welcome to use your own travel agent to book flights, but for your convenience we are working with a travel agent to prepare flight packages and assist you in making travel arrangements. The travel agent can assist in providing information on visa requirements, vaccinations and other travel information or requests.
Please note: Site visits are an opportunity for Community Builders to engage and connect. Registration is only open to Community Builders and family members. Trips that do not receive enough interest from members may be canceled. If so, we will contact you, and you will have the option of joining us on a different trip or visiting the site independently.
