POSITION SUMMARY: The position of Design Fellows works within a team responsible for developing the design and construction oversight of a series of community facilities throughout the Tohoku region of Japan.

Responsibilities:

• Engage the community, funding partners and clients at all stages of the process.
• Work closely with our team to produce construction documents and permit sets for the proposed facilities.
• Provide construction administration including managing bidding and processes as necessary and overseeing work done by contractors and sub-contractors.
• Manage change orders and expense approvals.
• Make timely reports to clients, partners and funders on the progress of the project as required.
• Provide administrative support for invoicing, cost reporting, meeting coordination and other tasks.

The Rebuilding Center is seeking an experienced construction manager for its building program in Port au Prince, Haiti. Candidate will be responsible for executive level oversight of The Rebuilding Center's Construction program and will report directly the Regional Program Manager. Candidate will be responsible for recruiting and training a core team of Job Foremen and Job Captains to execute site supervision. Candidate will also work with the Regional Program Manager and other senior staff to review and award bids.

Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction & Construction Management, including at least 5 years on-the-site experience in either the trades or on-site supervision.
