GiveChange, an organization connecting charities with young philanthropists, will be collaborating with Architecture For Humanity to raise $5000 to help build schools in Haiti. This is the first in a series of monthly fundraising projects hosted by GiveChange. $5000 will be raised in 30 days through events co-hosted with homefrys and proceeds from deals sold through

GiveChange will hold a final benefit event on June 25th in San Francisco. 100% of the funds raised for this project will go to Architecture For Humanity’s initiative to rebuild schools in Haiti.

More than 80% of schools in Haiti failed in the wake of the earthquake, according to post-disaster assessment, nearly all due to structural deficiencies that could have been prevented. Architecture for Humanity is responding by supporting the construction of safe and sustainable schools. Architecture for Humanity will provide design services and construction funding to support the design and construction of both transitional and permanent school facilities.
