Feminine hygiene products made from locally-sourced banana leaf fiber in Rwanda; “diagonal” inner city public housing in Chile; and bicycle-powered agricultural machines in Guatemala are the three finalists for the 2010 Curry Stone Design Prize, announced today at a ceremony at Google in New York. Sustainable Health Enterprises is the winner of the annual $100,000 no-strings-attached prize. Finalists are Elemental, based in Chile, and Maya Pedal, based in Guatemala.
