Competition background
Architecture for Humanity, Nike, and Fu.De (Football for Development) teamed up to host a design competition for a prototype football, education, and health center for Liga FOS -- a local program that uses football and education as a tool to promote community and social development in vulnerable neighborhoods in greater Buenos Aires. With almost 20 clubs in the league, this program reaches about 8,000 vulnerable children and adolescents at risk due to effects of exclusion and marginalization through the most popular sport in Argentina: football.
