Construction at the Oguaa Football for Hope Centre is progressing well. Our design fellow in the field, David Pound, reports that the scaffold frame, container alterations, and roof trusses are completed. The installation of bamboo which will form the exterior shading skin will commence shortly.
There have been a couple of setbacks however, one being the ground collapsing on one part of the site due to heavy rains. These don't seem to have delayed construction though with late August still being the target for substantial completion. Next month the president of Ghana is due to visit the site, and we'll update you then to let you know how that goes in addition to keeping you abreast of the developments with construction.
