Volunteer Needed: Tohoku Rebuilding Program

Program Background:
Tohoku Rebuilding Program is helping people in the earthquake and tsunami struck areas to rebuild their community back.

Responsibilities:
The accepted candidate will complete several different tasks to help staff catch up on projects and priorities. The position will expose the candidate to all aspects of the our San Francisco office and how we work. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Program Coordinator
  • Updating Worldchanging and other social media
  • Writing program newsletters and other reports to funders (monthly and/or quarterly)

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Good graphic skills
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Experience in administrative support and membership outreach
  • Demonstrated ability for high-level research and writing
  • Very organized and meticulous
  • Familiarity with Adobe CS programs
  • Advanced communication skills; ability to interact with partners via phone and email
  • Creative, engaging, hardworking with a good sense of humor

Commitment:
12 months (part-time; 15 - 20 hours per week)
