A new year renewing communities. After winter breaks in Africa and Haiti, projects like the Mogalakwena Football for Hope Centre for the South African Red Cross Society resume construction. Now several weeks into the new year the feed of progress pics are being refreshed by our field professionals, the Design Fellows.
We're very hopeful that 2013 will be another strong year for building spaces & connecting people that make a difference. Our resolutions include larger coverage of humanitarian design practice, broader collaboration with our chapter network, and a more accessible experience for fans following or entering the world of designing like they give a damn.

|Port-au-Prince cathedral visions, Haiti
Members of the Haiti office collaborated with neighboring design/build office YCF Group SA on the international design competition to re-envision Port-au-Prince's fallen cathedral. Although the design did not win, it and dozens of other entrants have stirred the imaginations of what could anchor the nation's capital. Plus, we're really taken with design our local architects submitted.
