Since March 11, 2011, contributions to the Japan Reconstruction Program have assisted in the improvement of hundreds of lives throughout the Tohoku region of Japan. MakiBiz, Architecture for Humanity’s regional support center, has assisted over 30 small business owners get back on their feet and many more people continue to need our help.

Architecture for Humanity believes that small business owners provide the jumpstart communities need to continue on their path to recovery. MakiBiz provides design, construction, and business development referral services to the community of Ishinomaki in support of their efforts to build back better. Our mission is to help 500 small and medium businesses, create 200 jobs and provide 6 initial construction grants for reconstruction projects.
