Related program: Hurricane Sandy Reconstruction
Starting Thursday, July 25, foodies and wine connoisseurs are gathering in Atlantic City for the latest, and we're told greatest, annual Food & Wine Festival - with a #RESTORE-ative twist.
Last month Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City announced Architecture for Humanity’s "Restore the Shore" Fund as the exclusive charity partner at the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival’s fifth annual celebration. The festival, launching Thursday, July 25th, and continuing through Sunday, July 29th, will feature a star-studded roster of the world’s most renowned culinary experts and TV personalities, including Robert Irvine, Rocco DiSpirito and The Neelys.
$1 for every ticket sold during the four-day culinary and spirit festival to Architecture for Humanity, with proceeds going directly to the "Restore the Shore" Fund.
We're thrilled to be the featured recipients of reconstruction support following the destruction of Hurricane Sandy. Food and Wine Festival attendees will be introduced to the incredible compassion of New Jerseyans helping one another rebuild, and can celebrate that Jersey sense of community we're fortunate to encounter in our work there on a daily basis.
Representatives of Architecture for Humanity's offices in San Francisco, New York and DC will be attending the festival and on hand for news, rebuilding stories and no small amount of architectural nerdery. They can be found at Thursday's Kick Off Party; the Grand Market on Friday; the Blues, Brews & BBQ and Beach Soiree on Saturday.
It's not too late to purchase tickets, though the event historically sells out by the Thursday Kick Off Party.
