Dwell on Design 2013

We're back this year in LA for what's sure to be the best Dwell on Design yet. Below, find out how - and where - we're "In" this year, what's on our minds, and how you can volunteer your expertise for Free Passes!

On the Trade Floor

This year we'll be working from two booths:

Booth #130 The fantastic custom-made booth by molo will host our "base of ops" for the weekend. Find HQ staff and LA Chapter members - as well as plenty of information and takeaways - on hand. We're also selling copies of Design Like You Give a Damn [2], the inspiring follow-up of Good Works and essays from around the world. (It's our favorite type of coffee table book – candy with content). We want to hear from you, so stop by and share some humanitarian anecdotes with our fantastic event volunteers.

Booth #132 An arena for free no-obligation consultation, the Architect Is In will host 30-minute sessions where professional architects answer any and all design inquiries. WE STILL HAVE OPENINGS, and volunteer architects get FREE 3-DAY PASSES–find out how to sign up here. (Note: to be on either side of the table, don't wait to register–spots are limited.)

Presentations & Panels

This year Architecture for Humanity cofounder Kate Stohr and Senior Development Advisor Sherry-Lea Bloodworth Botop will be presenting at two exclusive sessions:

What Do You See: the Future of Community Building recasts poverty and destruction as community-minded engines for growth, education, and hope. (Saturday, June 22, 2PM at the Sustainable Design Stage)

Can Disaster Spur Innovation will be a one-to-one conversation on rebuilding in the wake of unexpected, often unplanned for, natural disasters. (Saturday, June 22, 3PM at the Design innovation Stage)
